The Hospital Clínic de Barcelona ,founded in 1906 is a public, centennial, university hospital with a strong vocation for research. Treatment, research and teaching are our raison d’être and act univocally, within the Hospital, to achieve excellence.

Research is key for progress, for the well being of our patients and for investigation into the causes of disease and its treatment. In 1989 the Fundació Clinic per la Recerca Biomèdica was created, the first foundation in our country dedicated to promoting and managing independent care. Later, in 1996, the Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi Sunyer (IDIBAPS) was constituted as a consortium formed by the Hospital Clinic de Barcelona, the University of Barcelona and the Generalitat de Cataluña. The Consejo Superior de Investigación Científica then joined with the aim of bringing basic and clinical research closer together and working on solutions to improve healthcare for our patients.

This environment of healthcare, clinical research and investigation, teaching and the university, the Foundation, IDIBAPS and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona all make up the Campus Clínic Barcelona, a biomedical reference in Catalonia and Spain and is in a continuous search for knowledge of  disease and its treatment, its applications and its dissemination.

Wir möchten Krankenhäuser, Altenheime und Hospize in allen COVID-19-Hotspots in unsere Initiative aufnehmen und arbeiten bereits mit einigen großen Krankenhäusern an einem Auswahlverfahren für das Gesundheitspersonal.
